honest burgers launch new limited-edition burger and we’re loving it

Honest Burgers are bringing the flavours of South East Asia to the menu this August, with the launch of a limited-edition Singapore-themed burger.

Available at the Honest Burgers Brighton restaurant on Duke Street until the end of August, the Singapore special is an explosive original interpretation created in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board to mark their National Day on 9th August.

Fully committed to the cause as ever, we headed down to Duke Street to sample the goods, and can report the Singapore Special certainly hits the spot.

Headlining the gig is the buttermilk cereal fried chicken cooked using the traditional Zi Char – or ‘cook and fry’ – cuisine with no scrimping on portion size.

A topping of American cheese and cucumber pickles infused with tamarind, sambal confit garlic mayo, black beans and chilli pair perfectly with the star of the show to create a finger-lickingly delicious taste experience. Yeah, it’s safe to say we really enjoyed it.

We also wanted to try their exclusive craft beer collab between Singaporean brewery Off Day Beer and UK-based Northern Monk, but sadly they were out of stock (next time!).

Instead, we sampled their Burger Beer. Brewed here in Brighton at Laine Brew Co., this light, zesty number is just the ticket for a warm summer’s lunchtime.

The Singapore special is available until the 29th August (at all Honest Burger locations)
