Things to do in Brighton this weekend | 26th – 28th January

Take a look at our picks of what’s going on in the city, from wholesome gallery visits, to preloved markets and a night of beachside partying.

Spark your creativity at a wellbeing workshop

If your New Year’s resolution was to resurrect an abandoned creative project, we’d definitely recommend joining Run Like the Wolf for their first women’s workshop of the year. The three-hour session includes mark-making and visualisation exercises to help you tap into your creative genius, before jumping into creating a collaborative piece of art. You’ll be coached by talented local artist Amy Isles Freeman, who’ll be on hand to help you create your next masterpiece.

Join Sussex Colour Walk for a vibrant stroll

We know, the thought of tackling whichever jauntily named storm has hit the coast this week isn’t the most appealing. However, there’s only so long you can stay inside watching people disagreeing over who’s the group’s Traitor(s), so dig out your brightest coat and join the Sussex Coast Colour Walk for a stroll around Helm Gallery. For this weekend’s wander, the dopamine-dressed group are visiting the current colourful exhibition by Kent-based artist Margo in Margate. If you’ve never been to a Colour Walk before, rest assured that the group are incredibly welcoming to newbies and almost impossible to miss.

Have a Grey Goose-fuelled dance

Legendary label Perfecto Records is teaming up with Rockwater Hove for a night of beach bar-esque funky house and a Grey Goose vodka-filled cocktail list. Once you’ve got your beer (or vodka) jacket on, head to Rockwater’s stylish roof terrace, which will be turned into a dancefloor until the early hours. Although they’ve said there’s space for walk-ins on the night, this is definitely one to book ahead.

Grab a filthy burger and a beer

One of our favourite boozers, the slightly off-the-beaten-track Brzn Arms, are keeping up their streak of hosting great street food pop-ups in their stellar beer garden. Catch Dan’s Burgers, one of the newest additions to the Brighton street food scene, at Brzn this weekend where they’ll be serving up mouth-watering double patty burgers, loaded fries and chicken tenders. We’ve already picked out one of their camembert and birdseye chilli relish-topped ‘Spicy’ burgers as our craft beer accompaniment.
Friday 26th – Sunday 28th January; 12pm – 9pm
62 Beaconsfield Rd, Brighton and Hove, BN1 4QJ
