The Art Yard Sale is back with more brilliant bargains

Enter Gallery’s annual Art Yard Sale is back for the end of Brighton Fringe 2024.

As ever, it’s a fantastic opportunity to snap up some original limited-edition contemporary art, prints and event-exclusive pieces directly from well-known contemporary artists who’ll be running their own stalls.

Some of our favourite artists are back again this year, including RYCA, Magnus Gjoen, Joe Webb, Haus of Lucy and Bonnie and Clyde, but it’s also the chance to discover new creators, chat to your favourite artists and watch live art displays over the course of the day.

Artists including Babak Ganjei, Vintage Shuffle and Hello Marine will be making their Art Yard Sale debut this year.

The art on sale in this market-style buzzy event is always very varied, with contemporary artists selling works covering a wide range of areas, from street art to mixed media, clothing and ceramics with something for all tastes and pockets.

And if you need your work of art framed, you can get 20 percent off the cost if you pop into Enter Gallery before 5pm on the day of the sale.

As previously, artists will only be accepting Art Yard Sale paper money (it was designed by Sarah Arnett last year) – head to Enter Gallery (13 Bond Street) from 9am – 5pm to get yours or buy them directly at the sale site from 11am – 5pm – cash only! If you don’t spend all your notes, you can exchange them back into real money up until 5pm the same day.

BOTI’s top tip is to make sure you get there early if you’ve got your eye on something specific. People start queuing well before the opening time, so it’s worth grabbing a coffee from Meanwhile in advance and getting in line if you don’t want to miss out.

And if you can’t make it in person, this year, Enter Gallery will have a selection of works from the day available to buy online from 1pm on the Sunday.

Sunday 2nd June; 11am – 5pm; free
Jubilee Square (outside Jubilee Library), Brighton BN1 1GE
