Feline frenzy
This one’s for the cat lovers – Brighton Boutique Cat Extravaganza is coming to Brighton Racecourse, which means cats, cats and more cats. You’ll have the opportunity to meet plenty of adorable moggies at this family-fur-iendly affair organised by LCWW, aka Loving Cats Worldwide. Particularly proud of your kitty? Then you can enter them in various categories, such as best kitten and best cat, to scoop the ultimate accolade (check out the rules here). Visitors will be able to get up close with hundreds of cats – maybe even some Instagram-famous ones – learn more about their unique personalities, get to know different breeds, and buy quirky treats for their furry friends. Sounds pretty purr-fect, right? Well, unless you have a cat allergy, obviously.
Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th February; 10am – 4pm; from £15

It’s (piano) bath time
Forgive us if you know this already, but a piano bath is not, as some of us (ahem) may have naively assumed, somehow playing the piano whilst in the bath. No, it’s an infinitely more relaxing – less piano-damaging – experience. It’s a candle-lit concert where you’ll be bathed in sound. But rather than the gongs you typically find in soundbaths, here, the immersive surround sound comes from Penny Loosemore’s minimalist piano compositions overlaid with her hypnotic chant-like vocals. With the gorgeous acoustics of the Unitarian Church, it’s a must-try for a completely different Sunday night out.
Sunday 12th February; 7.30pm; from £8
Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton
