Bolney launch ‘Dine in the Vines’ immersive dining experience

It might be a cliche, but there’s something rather romantic about enjoying great food and wine right in the middle of the vines that wine came from. Bolney clearly think so too as they’re installing some geo-domes this summer for a truly immersive food and drink experience.

Afternoon tea fans might prefer the daytime experience where you’ll be able to savour Victoria sponge, finger sandwiches, macaroons, scones (it’s a short o, you know), the works, with a crisp bottle of Bolney Bubbly or Bolney Bubble Rose to wash it all down with.

At night, the magic (and admittedly, the prices) steps up a level. You’ll kick off your evening with canapes and a glass of something Bolney on the Estate’s balcony which has far-reaching views over the vineyard.

Then it’s off on a light-studded vine trail to your dining dome for a three-course feast featuring Sussex ingredients that have been chosen to go perfectly with three of Bolney’s signature wines, like its 2019 Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Cuvee Rose.

So what’s on the menu? You’ll kick off with a selection of Sussex cheeses, followed by BBQ shoulder of lamb or roasted aubergine, finishing with a summer berry Eton mess.

The experience is only available for one weekend (although we understand it may see a comeback later in the year), so if this is up your vineyard, you’ll want to get booking sharpish.

The geo-domes seat up to eight people, so if you’re a smaller group, you will be sat with other people – just something to bear in mind if you’re not feeling sociable!
