SWAG | Here’s how to get free frozen margaritas and tequila lollies this bank holiday

On the back of research that found that British adults’ palates are increasingly experimental, drinks brand Altos Tequila have brought out a range of margarita-based ice lollies featuring some rather unusual ingredients.

They found that 79 percent of Brits would “give anything a go” when it came to food and drink. And they’ve definitely taken those findings on board with these new lollies that they’ll be giving away in Brighton.

The drinks’ brand new frozen collection is based on the Mexican margarita, the nation’s fave cocktail. So what’s experimental about that we hear you cry. Well, some of these lollies features chillies (so far, so tame), but others are studded with tequila worms and, yes, grasshoppers. Protein, yay.

Is your palate adventurous enough to give them a try? You can find out this Friday and Saturday as Altos are bringing their drinks truck to Brighton for the bank holiday. They’ll have a range of their frozen margaritas and ice lollies to hand out, including the experimental one, a mouthwatering classic margarita with tequila worms and crunchy grasshoppers.

If you’re veggie or vegan or just not sure how you feel about slurping on insects/ reenacting an I’m A Celebrity… moment, there are plenty of other flavours on offer too, including classic lime margaritas, watermelon margaritas, and picantes with chilli and coriander.

So are you braver than us? We need to see it to believe it!
