snap up a free doughnut as london’s crosstown doughnuts open in brighton
One of our favourite London doughnut shops is opening a store in Brighton next month, its third outside the capital.
To celebrate, they’re giving away 500 of their tasty sourdough doughnuts for free from midday on Friday 9th December, the day their new shop in the North Laine opens.
You can choose from their signature Tongan Vanilla Bean Glaze or the vegan Dark Chocolate Truffle (their vegan doughnuts won PETA’s best vegan doughnuts award in 2018).
The scratch bakery – they create their doughnuts from basic raw ingredients from start to finish – has been offering delivery to the city since 2020, but this will be their first permanent store here. And a seated garden area is on its way in the new year.
“In our Brighton store we’ll be serving up our award-winning doughnuts, chocolate, and coffee, as well as fulfilling event and catering orders to the people of Brighton,” said Adam Wills, co-founder of Crosstown.
As well as eating in and taking away, you’ll also be able to order for delivery to your doorstep in under an hour. You know, for when the doughnut cravings hit hard but leaving your house seems a step too far.
Whether you qualify does depend on where you live, but they say that they can do on-demand delivery to Coldean, West Blatchington, Portslade and Woodingdean, so it’s not just the city centre. For further afield, they’re still doing pre-orders for nationwide delivery.
But they’re not just about tempting us with delicious doughnuts. On Saturday 10th December, they’re donating 50 percent from every sale to local charity Clock Tower Sanctuary, a drop-in day centre in Brighton & Hove for 16-to-25 year olds who are homeless or insecurely housed.
Store opens on Friday 9th December; then open every day, 8am – 8pm
