swag | win a brighton version of van gogh’s starry night painted by local artist

Local artist Pauly the Painter, aka Paul Cary, has created a vibrant Brighton version of Van Gogh’s masterpiece Starry Night and you can win it, together with a VIP friends and family viewing experience worth £900 to next month’s Van Gogh Alive exhibition.

Cary was commissioned to create the painting to mark the immersive exhibition’s first time in Brighton and the 170th anniversary of the legendary Dutch artist’s birth.

Cary’s ode to one of the master’s most famous works features several iconic Brighton landmarks at night – Brighton Dome and the Palace Pier obviously make an appearance – in the style of the Impressionist painter.

And now you’ve got the chance to get your hands on this unique piece that’s also got loads of ‘Easter eggs’ to spot – think Van Gogh’s pipe on a deckchair, hidden sunflowers, and Van Gogh painting the Pier’s helter-skelter.

The piece of art will go on display from 12th May when the exhibition opens until 18th July when the competition closes and the winner is announced.

And it’s easy to throw your name in the ring – just sign up for the Van Gogh Alive newsletter via the Van Gogh Alive Brighton website before 17th July and you’ll be in with a chance!
