new late-night party launches in hove

The heart of Hove is sorely missing a great go-to spot for late-night drinking and dancing, so Third Avenue Bar & Restaurant is filling the gap with the launch of their brand new party, Soul Sister Fridays, and we’re pretty excited about it.

Launching on Friday, 9th December, this new inclusive weekly party will take place in the venue’s iconic all-gold basement space, and will be led by local female DJs spinning genre-fluid tunes from RnB to dancehall, disco, UKG, UK funky, tribal funk, queer pop and more.

The launch event will see local artist Hannah Walford, otherwise known as DJ LOBA, lead the event and jump on the decks. She says: “It’s been a lot of fun to come up with a concept to breathe life into not just a new club space but into a part of Hove that is less familiar with late-night parties. Expect Soul Sister nights to be somewhere between the energy of Patterns, the inclusivity of Revenge, and the track selection of a house party!” We’re loving the sound of that!

Soul Sister Fridays will be free entry, and in homage to the venue owner’s home country Iran, will be supporting the Women’s Movement in Iran. There will be donation boxes on the bar with all contributions going to charity.

The new night will run every Friday from 10pm until 2am and is designed to be an inclusive evening open to all. There’s no set dress code, but extra/fabulous attire is encouraged. It is in an all-gold room, after all!
