brighton fringe tickets on sale now

Brighton Fringe is back with a bang this year, bringing over 700 brilliantly creative and affordable events from cabaret to comedy to more than 100 venues across the city. And they’re all on sale now.

We’re also pretty excited to report that perennial festival (and BOTI) favourite Spiegeltent is back with an array of dazzling shows, from Drag Race UK Season 2 contestant and cabaret superstar Joe Black and Western-themed circus from Head First Acrobats (pictured) to dance workshops and a Northern Soul Afternooner.

The Dutch Season is also staging a welcome return, featuring everything from intimate storytelling to award-winning physical theatre shows, such as the surreal After The Echo, which won its mime duo performers Best of Fringe in Amsterdam last year. Other shows, like the solo A Pole Tragedy which explores the thin line between violence and the erotic, are accompanied by workshops. For example, you can join Sofie Kramer, the artist behind the show, for Release the Heat, a sensual body awareness workshop that takes participants on a journey to their sensual side. on storytelling and physical theatre, too.

If comedy’s more your bag, then you’ll be spoilt for choice, with shows including Best Newcomer nominee Maisie Adam, fresh from her appearances on Mock The Week and The Last Leg.

This year there will also be a site-specific, city-wide immersive poetry installation – Treasure This Place – featuring a collective of poets based in and around Brighton and Hove, who will write poems about different areas of the city. You’ll be able to access the poems by scanning QR codes, creating a trail-like experience as you explore.

How about some immersive theatrical dining where you can eat with sharks and dance with seahorses? Of course! Just head on down to The Under Sea Diner, an underwater world which serves up a three-course vegan menu alongside a whole heap of fun. And, as Jellyfish Jamboree say of their show: “It’s better down where it’s wetter”. And who are we to argue?

With a menu of shows as diverse as its residents, Brighton Fringe, we love you.
