book now: nerd nite brighton

Nerds, assemble! Every third Thursday of the month, 100 or so geeks get their glasses on for the biggest nerd-off in the city. Yep, we’re talking Nerd Nite Brighton. If you haven’t been before, then this is one evening of fun where every level of nerd is welcome .

With free cake on arrival (be quick though because it’s very good) and a fully stocked bar, three brave people take to the stage and talk about something they are nerdy about. Trust us, they’ve had it all, from DJs talking about their passion for hip-hop in between spinning their favourite tracks to climate change researchers, mathematicians and wildlife photographers. And if that’s not enough, there’s also the big nerdy quiz that takes place every month. Grab a beer and get involved, as – you got it – points win prizes.

The next Nerd Nite Brighton (no. 52 to be exact) takes place at the Rialto Theatre on the longest day of the year, Thursday 21st June, and is suitably titled A Midsummer Nerd’s Dream. This month, there are talks on HIV and mental health, particle physics and bat echolocation. Be there AND be square. Tickets always sell out so we’d recommend getting in quick.

And if you’ve got something you’re nerdy about and you’d like to talk at one of their events, you can drop them a line on Facebook or Twitter.
