learn about the writing process from three debut novelists

Everyone’s got a book in them, right? Whether or not you subscribe to that theory, and are working on said book as we type, or you’re firmly in the avid reader camp, we reckon you’ll like this bookish event from annual citywide reading festival City Reads, featuring three women novelists discussing their first works.

Allie Rogers (Little Gold) and Polly Clark (pictured above; Larchfield) will be chatting to Sharon Duggal, whose 2016 novel The Handsworth Times was City Reads’ reading choice for last year’s festival. You can expect to hear about their impressive debuts, the process of writing, as well as how to find the right agent and – that final nail-biting stage – actually getting published.

Just in case you needed further convincing, the £3 ticket also includes a glass of wine. Books and booze, what’s not to like?
