Brighton Comedy Garden is back with more giggles

Laughter is the kind of natural high we like here at BOTI HQ. The side-splitting-I can’t actually breathe-my abs are going to hurt tomorrow kind of stuff. If you’re partial to a chuckle or two (who isn’t?) then roll up, roll up, because the Brighton Comedy Garden is coming back to the city in July and you’re guaranteed to get face ache.

And if you too are suffering from the usual post-Fringe comedy come-down, we’d recommend getting yourselves tickets to July’s line-up sharpish.

Comic legends and a hand-picked bunch of rising stars alike will be gracing the open-air stage in Preston Park over the course of the five-day festival with each show featuring a mix of laugh-inducing talent.

From stand-up supremo Dara O Briain to 8 out of 10 Cats regular Sara Pascoe, The Last Leg’s Josh Widdicombe and brilliant Taskmaster failure Ivo Graham, there’s something for most comedy tastes.

The event was set up by siblings Will Briggs and Cass Randolph (pictured below) in 2019. The duo are behind Greenwich Comedy Festival (Time Out’s ‘favourite London comedy festival’) and their equally popular Bristol Comedy Garden, so you know you’re in good hands!

The festival-style set-up brings bars with craft beers and cocktails to suit the (hopefully sunny) summer weather. There will be fair-trade coffee roasters too, so you’ll find something to quaff whatever your mood.

They’ve thought about your tummies as well as your tickles, with a big focus on tasty street-food treats from a curated line-up from the city’s foodie scene, including Caribbean fusion from Funky Elephant and spicy goodness from African Chow.

Take a look at their full line-up and get in there quick if you don’t want to miss out on your favourites!`
