It’s back! Yep, that’s right, the Foodies Festival, aka Gastro Glasto, aka FUN, is landing in Preston Park on the first May bank holiday weekend.
As ever, it’s the perfect chance to see some top Brighton chefs in action: you can expect mouthwatering demos from a whole host of local (and not-so-local) legends, including Cin Cin’s Jamie Halsall, Etch’s Steven Edwards, The Chilli Pickle’s Alun Sperring, Furna’s Dave Mothersill, Tern’s Johnny Stanford, Med’s Will Dennard and Jack Southan, Riddle & Finns’ Oscar Kirkpatrick, and Burnt Orange’s Pete Dantanus, as well as a hefty helping of food writers, MasterChef champs and GBBO stars.
That’s before you eat and drink your way around the produce from all the artisan food and drink exhibitors, try your luck in a chilli-eating comp and other food challenges, enjoy baking, BBQ-ing, a hands-on cookery school, wine and cocktail-making masterclasses or just soak up the atmosphere, the silent disco, and the live music (courtesy of headliners Pixie Lott, The Wanted 2.0 and Scouting For Girls).
There’s new stuff for 2025, too: the tasting theatre lets you try new and interesting (and, crucially, delicious) things, such as fashionable flavours, hot and spicy treats and even mystery tastings (no nasty surprises here).
Preston Park, Preston Road, Brighton BN1 6SD
Saturday 3rd May – Monday 5th May; 11am – 9pm (8pm Sunday and Monday); adult day tickets from £21; there are supplements for the cook school and tasting theatre
