It’s back! Yep, that’s right, the Foodies Festival, aka Gastro Glasto, aka FUN, is landing in Preston Park on the first May bank holiday weekend.
As ever, it’s the perfect chance to see some top Brighton chefs in action: you can expect mouthwatering demos from a whole host of local (and not-so-local) legends, including Ewan Waller from Hove’s recently Michelin-starred Mare, Namo’s Bookie Mitchell, Etch’s Steven Edwards, The Spice Circuit Kitchen’s Kanthi Thamma, The Little Fish Market’s Duncan Ray, Burnt Orange’s Peter Dantanus, as well as a hefty helping of food and drink writers, like Tom Surgey, MasterChef champs and GBBO stars.
That’s before you eat and drink your way around the produce from all the artisan food and drink exhibitors, try your luck in a chilli-eating comp and other food challenges, enjoy baking, BBQ-ing, a hands-on cookery school, wine and cocktail-making masterclasses, try new and interesting things in the tasting theatre, or just soak up the atmosphere, the silent disco, and the live music (courtesy of headliners Bew*tched, Boyzlife (yes, the Boyzone/Westlife mash-up) and Foodies Fest regulars Scouting For Girls), plus loads of other local and cover bands. It’s a busy schedule.
There’s new stuff for 2026, too, including dog and wellness zones, cook-offs between top chefs and MasterChef champions, and meet and greet sessions with your favourite chefs.
