foodies festival returns for first may bank holiday

It’s back! Yep, that’s right, the Foodies Festival, aka Gastro Glasto, aka FUN, is landing in Preston Park on the first May bank holiday weekend.

With the 2023 results of Brighton’s Best top 20 restaurants now in, it’s the perfect chance to see some top Brighton chefs in action: you can expect mouthwatering demos from a whole host of local (and not-so-local) legends, including Kenny Tutt of Worthing’s Pitch, Duncan Ray of the Little Fish Market, Alun Sperring of The Chilli Pickle, Jean Delport from Restaurant Interlude, Jamie Halsall from Cin Cin, Caspian Armani from Isaac At, Alistair Munro from Wild Flor, as well as a hefty helping of food writers, MasterChef champs and GBBO stars.

That’s before you eat and drink your way around the produce from all the artisan food and drink exhibitors, try your luck in a chilli-eating comp and other food challenges, enjoy baking, wine and cocktail-making masterclasses or just soak up the atmosphere and the live music (courtesy of Scouting For Girls, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Martin Kemp).

Preston Park, Preston Road, Brighton BN1 6SD
Saturday, 29th April – Monday, 1st May, 2023; 11am – 9pm (8pm Monday); adult day tickets from £21
