Ah, cocktails. Made by someone who knows what they’re doing (i.e. generally not us). We know those halcyon days of bar-hopping will be back again, but in the meantime, we’re super-excited that one Brighton cocktail bar has started delivering its creations straight to our doors.
Yes, the new service from The Golden Pineapple on Ship Street bar (no prizes for guessing what road it’s on) came just in the nick of time for the first bank holiday and now we’re gearing up for the second, ready for us to sup cocktails with our legs dangling out the window – #stay home – to enjoy the sun. Hurrah, they are definitely delivering this bank holiday weekend!
Due to demand, they’ve now teamed up with The Black Dove and Twin Pines coffee to offer an even bigger permanent menu, with more cocktails, craft beers, wines and coffee (as beans or ground to your specification – we love this!).

As you can see there are LOADS of drinks on offer, from spirit and mixer sets for a tenner, single-serve cocktails for £7 or cocktails for two, also for a tenner. The fresh citrus cocktails (hello, Dbl Dark & Stormy) need a good shake – any glass jar will do – while the stirred ones can be served straight from the fridge over ice. Which you can buy a bag of for £2.50. Perfect.
And if you fancy trying your hand at some cocktail-making yourself, you can get one of their home cocktail recipe kits for £25; they come with all you need to make four to five glasses of the cocktail of your choice, featuring all the favourites, from Negronis to Manhattans.
Down to the nitty-gritty – how do you get the drinks in? They deliver from Thursday to Saturday, so simply place your order by dropping GP a message on their Instagram @gpshipst or email it over to Jack@goldenpineapple.party by 3.00pm and your order will be delivered (to BN1, BN2 and BN3 postcodes) for free between 4.00 and 7.00pm the same day, with contactless payment taken on arrival.
