You know you’re on the run-up to Christmas (ridiculously warm weather and all) when the Royal Pavilion ice rink returns. And along with darker evenings, returning it is. Yep, our favourite skating palace is back in Pavilion Gardens for the winter season from Saturday 26th October.
The renewable energy-powered rink (plus separate beginners’ mini-rink) is back until early Jan. It’s particularly beautiful at night when the coloured lights create a magical atmosphere, making the twinkly, child-friendly pop-up the perfect entertainment spot. So grab your skates or your penguin aid (sadly for us, only available for children below 1.2m) and get back on the ice.
Or shimmy over to their rinkside bar and restaurant and work your way through the menu – from marshmallow-topped hot chocolate to mulled wine, they’ve got the lot. And let’s face it, skating backdrops don’t get much prettier than this.
Saturday 26th October 2024 – Sunday 5th January 2024, various times from 10am – 9pm; 45-minute skate session: from £9.85 (including accessible sessions); 50 percent off full-price tickets if you bring your own skates; free to spectate; dogs allowed in restaurant and spectators’ terrace
