BOTI Reviews | Godz

Praise the lord for Godz. The hedonistic, heavenly acrobatic performance that’s been taking the Spiegeltent by storm. For good reason, too. It’s an incredible show to behold.

We took our seats in the auditorium and prepared to spend a night partying with our favourite Greek Gods. Hercules, Dionysus, Zeus and Cupid are exceptional comedy acrobats, weaving their unique mix of storytelling, circus and physical prowess into god-like proportions. We were more than happy to join them on their debauched adventure through Ancient Greece. Seriously, Mount Olympus has never looked so fine.

We lost ourselves (and our inhibitions) in their bodyssey of gravity-defying stunts, true tests of heroic strength and surprise spicy twists. Like an episode of the Bafta award-winning Horrible Histories, but waaaaay hotter and definitely not one you’ll see on CBBC any time soon.

Togas, diablos, swings, wings, nuns and bronzed bods made for an eye-popping performance that left the entire audience hot and flustered in all the right places.

Would we go back for more? In a heartbeat. In fact we clocked a couple of audience members booking again for Saturday, the troupe’s final Fringe ‘23 performance.

It’s funny, sexy, educational, sexy, impressive, sexy, cheeky and, er, sexy. So if you’re reading this, you’ve got ANOTHER CHANCE to see them in 2024. Get in there, Brighton. You’ll be blessed with a show of epic proportions. Thank heavens for Godz.
