Brighton Etsy Christmas market and New England House Christmas fair
This is always one of our favourite present stops in the run-up to Christmas, in part due to the buzzing, festive atmosphere (lights, a tree, the whole shebang). Every time we go we discover new and exciting products by local designers and makers (76 of ’em this year) who sell their wares on Etsy. It’s highly curated – only the best unique products (think beautiful prints, cards, lingerie, jewellery, pottery and homewares) make it to the market, so you’re bound to find something a little different that you love. They’ve got a new venue too this year – they’re at the Clarendon Centre, a short walk from Brighton station. It’s over the road from New England House, which is taking part in the artists’ open houses event and has a fabulous festive fair all weekend (Friday – Sunday; 11am – 5pm) featuring over 30 designers and makers (across jewellery, accessories, sculpture and more), so even more indie shopping opportunities!
