Craving a slice of Italy without the airfare? The very first Brighton Italian Festival is landing this October, serving up over 20 events packed with all the good stuff – think food, music, vino, language, and more, all with a proper Brighton twist.
It’s the brainchild of William Ranieri, an Italian journalist and filmmaker who’s spent 22 years calling Brighton home, but admits he can still hanker after Italy. His festival is basically a big, passionate letter of amore to Italy’s soul, stitched together with Brighton’s laid-back charm.
There’s something for everyone, from Italian comedy and music nights (jazz, folk, techno AND opera!) and talks on language, to crazy Negroni nights, right through to wine-tasting and family-style cooking workshops.
And there’s even a rolling tribute to Italy’s iconic scooter culture with The Italian Scooter Job, helping Sussex Homeless Support along the way.
Ready to live la dolce vita, Brighton style?
