Yes, you read that right, Burger & Lobster are giving away free mini lobster rolls this Wednesday, 17th September.
World Lobster Day is coming up – 25th September, if you’re interested – and with the chain’s research showing that over 60 percent of Brits still think of lobster as out of reach, they’re on a mission to make the typically splurgey item more accessible to everyone.
And you can’t get much more inclusive than free. So where do you get your hands on them? B&L will be pedalling their bikes around town on Wednesday – you’ll find the team from 11am – 2pm and 3pm – 6pm handing out the mini rolls around the station and the pier (check their Instagram for hints on the precise locations).
That’s right – buttery brioche buns, lemon mayo, and lobster meat, all for nothing. The only catch? You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for their bright red bikes (and maybe sprint a little if you spot them before someone else does).
And if that whets your appetite, there’s more: their much-loved Bring a Mate, Get a Plate deal is back by popular demand on World Lobster Day itself. It’s pretty straightforward: buy one lobster main and bring along a friend who’s never tried lobster before, and they’ll get their very first lobster – roll, burger, or the whole shebang – totally free. No bookings, walk-ins only.
Get cracking, Brighton, lobster’s definitely on the menu this month.
Free rolls: Wednesday 17th September; 11am – 2pm and 3pm – 6pm; free
