First Press Record and Art Fair is leaving dry land for one day only and heading poolside to the 1930s beauty that is Saltdean Lido this Saturday 9th August. Think pool party but with records, art, DJs, and immaculate vibes – all totally free.
Here’s what you can expect:
Banger-to-banger balcony DJ sets from the likes of (possibly) the coolest bar in town, Voya, plus The Virgin Vinyls, George Bassett and more.
Rare, weird, and essential records from Tru Thoughts, Union Records Lewes, Keyring Records, So Far So Real, Vinyl Selecter, and more. Crate-diggers will be in wax heaven.
Art and gorgeous oddities from local creative makers, Including Gerry’s House embroidery (who’ll have their actual antique chainstitch machine for on-the-spot custom stitching – bring your stuff to get personalised), Stanley Road Store, Pippa Toole, The Stereo Typist, Mike Bell Maps, and Tarot in Technicolor – who might just predict you’ll leave with something you didn’t know you needed.
What else? The bar will be open, as will the pool – bring your swimmers (and book a ticket) if you want to make a day of it with a post-browse dip.
It’s easy to get there, too. Stroll or cycle along the Undercliff Walk, hop on a bus or zoom over there in the car (parking’s free).
