book now: jools holland and guests

We know it’s still way too early for the *whisper it* C word, but we can’t help but associate happy festive thoughts with musical supremo Jools Holland. So, needless to say, we’re super excited the ex-Squeeze musician is bringing his boogie-woogie piano genius, his fabulous 19-piece Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and a host of special guests to Brighton on 14th December as part of his 2019 tour. Just in time to get us in a suitably joyful mood for that thing we’re not mentioning yet.

Special guests include long-time collaborator and gospel singer Ruby Turner, soul and jazz singer Louise Marshall, original Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis, and Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson from legendary ska band The Selecter, which, incredibly, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Expect a whole host of Jools specials and boogie-woogie classics so catchy they should come with a warning, as well as The Selecter showstoppers such as ‘On My Radio‘ and ‘Too Much Pressure‘. Dancing guaranteed.
