there’s a new affordable art gallery in town

Wildfire Gallery is a touring art gallery that travels across the country selling affordable art to locals and giving artists a platform to create and exhibit their inspiring work. They’ve landed in Brighton and will be at 4 Hanningtons Lane until Sunday 4th August, so we’d recommend popping down and seeing what they’re all about.

Founder and Gallery Director, John Davis, told BOTI: “The main aim of Wildfire is to engage people and communities to try and change perceptions around art and art galleries. Our galleries are a place to enjoy and buy art in a relaxed environment, where you can sit down, talk about and engage with it, without pressure.”

You’ll be pleased to hear that this isn’t the only way they’re different to a traditional gallery, as they bring art that caters to every sized purse or pocket! John has been beavering away on the project for three years, using his experience working in galleries, arts festivals and cafes to gather artists and define his idea and concept to make it happen. Head down to Hanningtons Lane before Sunday 4th August to enjoy the space and get yourself some art. Rumour has it, the lucky people of Bristol might be getting it next…
