what to do this weekend: 22nd – 24th February

Is it just us, or has this week’s supermoon done all sorts of interesting things to the week? It was pretty beautiful though, we have to admit, but we’re more than happy to welcome the weekend with open BOTI arms. So, what have we got for you? Well, we’ve already told you about the incredible Mutations Festival happening on Saturday if you fancy filling your boots with great live music, but if you need more fun ways to spend your Brighton weekend, here are a few of our picks…

Imperfectly perfect
We’re all for celebrating imperfections and if you fancy getting yourself a few new prickly little friends, then get yourself down to see our friends over at Hi Cacti in Brighton Square this Saturday 23rd February. The lovely Sabina will be selling her imperfect plants and pots with up to 50% off from 9.00am to 4.00pm. We will happily help with their spring clean and add some of her brightly coloured beauties to our delightfully imperfect world. See you at The Plant Room for a bite and a bargain…

Support from the sidelines

The Brighton Half Marathon is happening on Sunday, but if you’re not taking part, we’d recommend getting out and cheering the runners on from the sidelines. We were chuffed to hear that this year’s half will be plastic free, teaming up with Life Water to make it happen. All the water stations will have paper cups and there will be the UK’s first zero-plastic alternative to bottled water, in the form of their Life Water can. It’s BPA free and made from recycled aluminium. It’s also been voted Best Water Drink 2018, don’t you know! Take a look at the route map here to pick your spectator spot. After you’ve had a strenuous morning of either running or cheering, how about heading down to the new Trading Post Coffee Roasters at 40 Kensington Gardens and tucking into their delicious brunch menu. Don’t worry, former resident Prohibition bar L’Atelier Du Vin has only moved around the corner to 10 St George’s Place, so you can still get some of the best cocktails and wine selections in the city.
The Trading Post opens from 21st February; daily from 7.30am
