uk’s biggest city-wide beer festival returns
Yes, you better beer-lieve it – after a two-year hiatus, Sussex-based Laine Brew Co. is bringing back its Tap Takeover for its largest edition to date: a three-day celebration across twenty Brighton pubs.
So what you can expect? Apart from possibly one of the most impressive potential pub crawls we’ve yet to try, there will be 130 craft beers from 22 different independent breweries (including Brixton Brewery, Cloudwater, Verdant and Tiny Rebel), as well as DJs, live music, tasting sessions and ‘meet the brewer’ talks.
And, this year, there’ll also be a massive (300-drinker capacity) beer tent right in the city centre (on the green opposite the North Laine Brewhouse at 27, Gloucester Place, BN1 4AA) with 22 taps showcasing the best beers from each brewery and live music.
These are the pubs taking part, each creating their own special experience:
The Black Lion
The Earth & Stars
North Laine Brewhouse
The White Rabbit
East St Tap
The World’s End
The Fountain Head
The Mash Tun
The Pull & Pump
Dead Wax Social
The Bath Arms
The Hope & Ruin
The New Unity
The Fortune of War
You can snap up a weekend ticket for £20 and this includes your entry, four half pints of the beer of your choice, and a discount on all the beers on offer in the participating pubs.
