uk’s biggest city-wide beer festival returns

Yes, you better beer-lieve it, Sussex-based Laine Brew Co. is bringing its Tap Takeover back for a fifth edition – that’s a whole three days of excellent craft beers and music across over twenty Brighton pubs.

So what you can expect? Apart from possibly one of the most impressive potential pub crawls we’ve yet to try, there will be 130 craft beers from 22 different independent breweries, as well as DJs, live music, tasting sessions and ‘meet the brewer’ talks.

The main hub of the festival will again be the North Laine Brewhouse, Laine Brew Co.’s experimental microbrewery. You can buy tickets from them (or online here) and get more details about the festival – and all the beers you could be drinking.

Speaking of those beers, Laine’s brews will be available at all of the participating venues and some of the UK’s best breweries will be taking over the taps at some of our favourite pubs. Ready for the participating brewery list? It’s a cracker. There are heaps of brilliant locals for starters: There’s both Abyss and Beak from Lewes, Firle’s Burning Sky, Uckfield’s 360, Worthing’s Cloak and Dagger and, of course, Brighton’s Laine.

London’s representing with Two Tribes, Brixton, Pressure Drop, Gosnells, Beavertown, Orbit and Queer, and moving further north, there’s Leeds’ Northern Monk, Manchester’s Cloudwater, Huddersfield’s Magic Rock, Edinburgh’s Vault City, Dublin’s Whiplash and also Oslo’s Amundsen.

These are the pubs taking part and the breweries pouring there, each creating their own special experience:
