priscilla queen of the desert hits town

We’re a big fan of musicals over here at BOTI, so needless to say, the arrival of the dragtastic Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Theatre Royal got us more than a little excited. Great tunes and dazzling costumes, a heart-warming story with a whole heap of hilarity and sparkles thrown in – what more could we ask for?

Actor and Strictly star Joe McFadden and the rest of the Priscilla cast spread the joy beyond the theatre wall at Brighton Station on Wednesday: yep, they treated us to a pop-up performance around the piano, with Priscilla numbers and, of course, a couple of Christmas carols for good measure.

Produced by Jason Donovan, who starred in the original West End production, the fun-filled stage show adapted from the Oscar-winning film promises even more glitter and loads of dance floor classics (you know, anthems like ‘It’s raining men’ and ‘I will survive’). And with self-discovery, sass and acceptance on the menu, we reckon it’s perfect for Christmas!
