book now: brighton’s first podcast festival

You’ve probably noticed that podcasts have taken over the world. In fact, you may even be listening to one now. But if you’re anything like us, sometimes it feels as if everyone and their cat is leaping on the mic to pontificate about everything from last night’s bender to an in-depth analysis of the nutritional content in avocados.

But actually, we’re doing the genre a disservice here because there are some absolutely stellar ones out there – funny, insightful, useful, surprising and eye-opening – and we’re super-excited that Brighton is hosting its very first podcast festival to bring some of the most popular ones live to venues across the city.

So just who’s going to be there? One of our long-time favourites and talented multi-hyphenate (you know, when you have a portfolio career ‘cos you do so many different things) Emma Gannon will be bringing the wonderful Ctrl Alt Delete, where she talks to guests about their relationship with the internet. There’ll also be hilarity from Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre, Brett Goldstein’s brilliant Films To Be Buried With that examines the movies that shape us, fun facts from QI‘s research team in No Such Thing as a Fish, “unadulterated girl talk with no filter” The Receipts, and much more. Sign us up!

We’d recommend getting in quickly, as tickets are bound to be snapped up for this one!
