beach clean to beats from DJ SUAT

Soak up the sunshine and DJ SUAT’s beats this Saturday as he hosts a beach clean in Brighton. If you recognise the name but can’t place him, this might help… he posted a video from his visit to Brighton in October where he DJ’d around the city with his one-man-band-style deck set-up.

Sadly, with the glorious sunshine comes a lot of extra litter on the beach, so he’s teamed up with Sisterhood Creative (an online group for likeminded women sharing creative and holistic ideas, knowledge and support) to make this weekend’s beach clean happen.

They’re inviting groups of six (or two households) to head down to the beach on Saturday and help clean up our beautiful beach whilst having a bit of a boogie. If Easter sequins are your thing, then get them on and get moving.

Adhering to social distancing and all government covid-19 guidelines, they’ll be focusing on the stretch between the West Pier and Brighton Pier, while SUAT does what he does best and motivates litter pickers with some big beats.

It’s a free event, but you’ll need to register your interest through their event page here. If you want to get involved, remember to bring your own mask, sanitiser and gloves. They will be providing bags and litter pickers for each group (limited numbers), which need to be collected from the BA i360 at midday and returned to Brighton Pier by 3pm the latest.

Stay safe and happy picking!
