healing fest in may to be held online

The world’s a different place from what it was just a few short months ago and we’ve seen festival after festival cancelled – the Great Escape, Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe and, most recently, Pride. But, happily, there are quite a few events that have gone digital, not least May’s Healing Fest! Given the surreal times we’re living through, its focus on wellbeing and reviving mind, body and soul seems more important than ever right now. Dedicated to the more self-care side of life, the festival was due to take place at Gote Farm close to Glynde in Lewes, but now it will be completely digital. The timetable is still being finalised, but expect inspirational speakers, alternative therapy workshops and over 20 wellness classes, covering everything from laughing yoga to breathwork. There will also be recipe ideas to keep and live cook on the Saturday, downloadable worksheets and everything will be recorded and uploaded so you can access it again at any time. Set up by Brighton-based holistic therapist and spiritual coach Laura Beddoe (she runs The Healing Rooms in Woodingdean), her idea was to blend a retreat with the fun of a festival, bringing a luxurious experience to a beautiful countryside landscape. Or now, our homes. Inspired to bring people together and give them a chance to take some times for themselves, for every ticket sold two trees are planted as ambassadors of One Tree Planted. Sounds like some BOTI-shaped bliss. We’ll keep you posted as more details about the new format are revealed! Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th May; £37 per ticket thehealingfest2020
