wine and cheese cellar opens in hove

Calling all cheese and wine lovers! If you, like us, were pretty upset when La Cave A Fromage in Hove closed its doors, you’ll be pleased to hear that a new venture has reopened on the same site, bringing gallons of glorious wine and heaps of cheese and charcuterie to enjoy it with. Welcome, Cases and Curds & Whey!

The bar-cum-shop collaboration between Steve Pinneau of L’Atelier du Vin (the man is busy!) and Phil Bartley of The Great British Charcuterie Co combines some of the finest wines from around the world with the best artisan British cheese (prepare for a cheese feast, they have around 100) and charcuterie, which you can enjoy in the cosy on-site bar or at home/on the beach/on the bus (we’re not judging).

We hear they have the city’s largest selection of English sparkling wines – and are aiming to become the UK’s largest supplier of said wines, too – as well as 25 different vinos to try by the glass, so you don’t need to spend a fortune or commit yourself to an entire bottle (win-win).

Cases and Curds & Whey, open Monday – Saturday, midday – 10.30pm and Sunday 11.00am – 5.00pm
34-35 Western Road, Hove, BN3 1AF
