8 brighton restaurants among uk’s top 100
We know how good Brighton & Hove’s dining scene is and it seems the rest of the country does too as eight of the city’s restaurants have won a coveted spot in the prestigious SquareMeal UK top 100 restaurants list.
Released on Friday, 6th September, the list reveals the best 100 restaurants in the UK outside of London in 2019 as voted for by thousands of readers and reviewers all over the country.
Topping the list for Brighton is Michael Bremner’s brilliant small plate restaurant 64 Degrees, with a new addition to the league this year from Steven Edwards, as etch. enters at number 34. Veggie favourites Terre à Terre jumped up 41 spaces from 2018, coming in at 42, with Isaac At (pictured), the brainchild of 25-year-old Isaac Bartlett-Copeland and which first launched as a pop-up four years ago, scooped 44th place. Both restaurants are known for using locally sourced, quality ingredients.
The other Brighton & Hove restaurants in the top 100 are also firm favourites of ours: Little Fish Market (50), Salt Room (80), The Coal Shed (83) and Cin Cin (93) and Terre à Terre (83). You can see the full list here.
The top spot was clinched by Lancashire’s Moor Hall Restaurant – headed up by talented chef Mark Birchall – that holds 2 Michelin Stars and 5 AA Rosettes.
You’ll be able to try some of these Top 100 Brighton & Hove winners for just £20pp when OctoberBest launches next month. We’ll be the first to update you on how to book when their new website launches next Monday 16th September.
