Lots of our favourite restaurants have swiftly changed tack to offer takeaways and delivery services (more on them soon), but one of our favourites was missing – until now!
We’re as pleased as punch to report that the lovely Wild Flor has come back with a very special offering: yep, the Hove-based restaurant has just launched Wild Flor, to your door: ‘finish at home’ three-course meal boxes. A proper three-course meal! We’ve practically forgotten what one of those is.
They must have read our minds because these delicious-sounding boxes consist of the kind of tastebud-tingling, more complicated dishes that we’re lusting after but don’t fancy cooking – or in our case, don’t know how to cook – at home.
Happily, they’re as inclusive as ever – there’s one box for meat-eaters and another for veggies, with box contents set to change weekly and in line with the seasons. And, if you have other dietary requirements, drop them a message and they’ll do their best to accommodate them.
Each box is designed to feed one person and costs £20. Pretty bargainous for a restaurant three-course meal, we reckon, and they both sound bloody delicious.
This week’s meat-eaters’ box contains:
Starter: slice of chicken & ham hock terrine with chutney & pickles
Main: braised lamb pie with wild garlic mash, tenderstem broccoli & carrot puree
Pudding: slice of English custard tart with rhubarb compote
This week’s veggie box contains:
Starter: spring salad of new season asparagus & spring greens with chervil dressing & goat cheese
Main: dauphinoise potato & caramelised onion pie with tenderstem broccoli & a herb veloute
Pudding: slice of English custard tart & rhubarb compote

Fancy some wine with your posh dinner? Wild Flor will also be listing a few options (something sparkling, white, red, rose or even a lager) that will go perfectly with your order.
Fancy a little weekend treat? You know you do. We’re salivating at the thought of it already. They’ll deliver anywhere within a 30-minute radius, so get your orders in by 6.00pm on Thursday for delivery on Saturday or Sunday (between 1.00pm and 5.00pm).
