dishoom launch brighton delivery service

Bombay comfort food legends Dishoom launch their first delivery kitchen outside London today, and guess what Brightonians, we’re in luck. The Brighton kitchen will be serving up some of their favourite dishes and delivering them to your door between 12.00pm and 10.30pm, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Suddenly lockdown 2.0 just got a little tastier.

If you’re familiar with Dishoom, then you can expect some of their (travel friendly) favourites including Keema Pau, Chicken Ruby and House Black Daal – one of our personal favourites. For those new to the menu, the good news is there are plenty of veggie and vegan dishes too, from Jackfruit Biryani (v) and Mattar Paneer (v) to their favourite pudding, Basmati Kheer (ve). We’re hungry just thinking about it.

As well as their more classic dishes, there will be some delivery-only dishes too, which we’re pretty excited about. Imagine a Bombay twist on a lunchtime sandwich, which they’ve named their Kathi Rolls. They’ll be delivering tender chicken or paneer in makhani sauce wrapped in soft wholewheat paratha with green peppers, red onion and mind chutney, served with lime-dressed Chilli Broccoli Salad. WOW.

The Dishoom delivery team are hot on sustainability too, using cardboard from sustainbly managed sources, reclaimed and renewable sugar cane pulp packaging and carbon-beaitral PLA, so give them a rinse and you can recycle or compost the lot.

Pop your postcode in here to check you are eligible for delivery (fingers crossed!), which covers most postcodes between Brighton Marina and Shoreham harbour, as well as Mile Oak, Patcham and lots of local neighbourhoods between. If you’re out of the Dishoom delivery zone, then have a look on their website for some of their tasty treats and gifts including their Vegan Sausage Naan Roll kits. Mmmm, don’t they sound like a lush Christmas canape to add to the mix.

As soon as we’ve tried it, we’ll let you know what we think!

Dishoom delivery is available in Brighton through Deliveroo from Tuesday 24th November, offering free delivery.
