£1 tiramisu is coming to Brighton for one night only

Brighton’s resident tiramisu obsessive is back, and he’s back with more £1 puds.

Tiramisu-tasting pro George McCluskey (aka @tiramisugeorge – remember last year’s Tiramisu Summer?) has teamed up with Oatly and Pommy’s on a new range of four vegan tiramisus, with all four available for just £1 at a launch night at Pommy’s in Imperial Arcade on Thursday 17th September.

From 6pm, you can get your spoon into Pistachio, Cherry & Amaretto and brand-new flavours Biscoff and Fig & Dark Chocolate. It’s first come, first served until they sell out, with a maximum of two portions per person. There’ll also be a prize wheel with Oatly merch, free tiramisu scoops and pizza up for grabs, plus a free tiramisu-inspired drink from Oatly.

Four new vegan tiramisus

The collaboration follows George and Pommy’s Tiramisu Month back in June, when they sold almost 1,000 portions, with consecutive sell-outs. Two of its biggest sellers, Pistachio and Cherry & Amaretto (pistachio was our favourite from the original batch), are making a comeback, joined by Biscoff and Fig & Dark Chocolate.

All four are completely vegan, developed using Oatly products and a cold-brewed espresso concentrate created by Cornwall-based Origin Coffee Roasters.

George told BOTI he’s particularly excited about the new Fig & Dark Chocolate flavour.

“I’ve never seen that flavour combination done before in tiramisu form, and we’ve found a beautiful fig jam to use for it,” he said. It’s finished with what he calls Tiramisu George’s “signature hit of Maldon sea salt”, which features across the range.

George started documenting his hunt for Brighton’s best tiramisu on Instagram in 2025. His reviews soon landed him an invitation to Italy to judge the finals of the Tiramisù World Cup in Treviso.

The new range also tackles something he’d struggled to recommend during his Brighton tiramisu mission: a really good vegan version.

He believes that Tiramisu is the best dessert in the world, so “it felt wrong that so many people were missing out,” he said. “We wanted to make something completely vegan without making it feel like a compromise.”

Miss the £1 night?

And don’t worry if you miss out on Thursday’s £1 night. The tiramisus aren’t disappearing once the feeding frenzy’s over. Just like before, one flavour will launch each week at Pommy’s four stores, including Brighton and Hove, as well as on Deliveroo.

Pistachio gets first dibs from Friday 18th September. George told us they’ve found a vegan pistachio cream that tastes like the traditional versions, and he’s predicting another bestseller, although he reckons the Biscoff could give it a run for its money.

For the impatient, Thursday is the only night all four will be available, for a quid each.
