All aboard! Brighton’s new Pride Bus rolls out for the big weekend

Brighton & Hove Pride is just around the corner (Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd August), and the city’s getting parade-ready with a fabulous new addition: a brand-new Pride Bus, chosen by locals and unveiled just in time for one of the biggest weekends of the year.

Created in collaboration with Brighton & Hove Pride, the vibrant livery was picked by residents and pays tribute to local drag legend David Raven, better known as Maisie Trollette – a beloved figure in the city’s LGBTQ+ history.

You’ll spot the new bus parked near the Peace Statue at the start of Saturday’s parade, before it hits the road as part of a fleet of special shuttle services ferrying people to the main event in Preston Park. Brighton & Hove Buses will be running dedicated Pride routes (the 500 and 600) across the weekend, linking key spots like Old Steine and Waterhall Campsite.

Brighton & Hove Buses are strongly advising Pride-goers to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time to travel – the city gets busy. Not local? can download the Brighton & Hove Buses app for live updates and mobile ticketing, or tap in with contactless.

And if you need a little feel-good bonus while you’re navigating the crowds? Just catch a glimpse of that rainbow ride rolling through town – chosen by Brighton, for Brighton.
