book now: colour is power

In Brighton & Hove we’re lucky enough to be surrounded with some incredible art, from carefully executed street art to in-depth exhibitions at some of the city’s best venues. As we may have mentioned before, one of our favourite inspiring artists is Lois O’Hara, who is absolutely smashing it when it comes to Brighton-ing up the city with her infectious colour and enthusiasm. You only have to take a look at her Instagram feed to inject some vibrancy into a dull day…

So, when we heard she was going to be doing a talk at the end of the month called ‘Colour is power’, we thought we’d tell you how to get involved. Sharing her passion for community, colour and public art, her talk is the first in a new ‘Influence’ series of events taking place at vibrant co-working space The Projects on Ship Street. The new events will be led by forward-thinking Brightonians who are making a name for themselves in Brighton, Hove and beyond. This is right up our BOTI street.

Lois will be taking guests through some of her incredible work to date, including the UK’s first art basketball court, her wavey rainbow on the beach and her mural painting on the rooftop terrace at The Projects itself. Talking us through how colour can have positive effects on people and places, you’re guaranteed to leave feeling bright, wavey and inspired.

Wednesday 30th January, doors 5.30pm, talk 5.40pm, followed by Q&A and networking; £6
