Food lovers, rejoice as @foodiesfestival, the UK’s biggest food festival, is back this weekend and we’ve got two pairs of full weekend tickets up for grabs!

Landing in Preston Park for three days from this Friday, here’s what you can expect: mouthwatering demos from MasterChef 2021 champ Tom Rhodes and top local chefs @chefmichaelbremner and @kennytutt, cocktail-making masterclasses, over 200 artisan food and drink exhibitors, a chilli eating competition, live music from @scoutingforgirls and street food goodies galore. Yum.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of bagging a pair is:

About last night 👀 It was good to be back @honestburgers for a hearty burger… and oh how we’ve missed their Sussex potato rosemary fries.

They also have a new cheese in their repertoire and we’re happy about it 🧀 We went for the Honest burger with the Blacksticks Blue Mega Slice as our choice of cheese. We usually stick to cheddar with their Honest beef, red onion relish, smoked bacon, lettuce and pickles, but this new beautiful blue gives a welcomed kick to their tasty classic 🤤

It’s a new collab between a Lancashire family cheesemaker, Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses and the burger legends… and it gets a juicy yes from us. Have you tried it yet? 🍔

From hot and spicy ramen to happy endings, we paid a visit to Brighton’s new @tonkotsu.ramenbar.

What we ate:
🍜 Chilli chicken ramen
🌶 Chilli prawn ramen
🧄 Pork, ginger and garlic gyoza
🤤 Eat the Bits Chilli Cauliflower Wings
🥒 Cucumber and mustard seed pickles

And for pud… The Malty One and the Naughty One (miso caramel!).

Last week we enjoyed a bit of alfresco dining @erpinghamhousebtn, Duke Street’s plant based restaurant 🌱

There was so much on the menu that we wanted to try, but here’s what we went for. We’ll be back to try the rest!

🥬 The crispiest of kale
🧄 Roasted shallot and garlic hummus with the tastiest asparagus, served with bread

🎉 Celebration of cauliflower
🍆 Miso charred aubergine (our favourite!)
🔥Crispy panko courgette batons
🥔 Roasted smashed potatoes (joy in a potato)
🧀 Mac n cheese with almond Parmesan - we’re on the hunt for a plant based mac n cheese that passes the BOTI blind taste test. We feel a challenge coming on 👀 If you’ve got any recs, let us know!

It’s the perfect spot for watching the world go by when the weather is nice, and they’ve got an aesthetically pleasing interior too.
