pick of the week: the daniel wakeford experience

We fell in love with him on Channel 4’s The Undateables (the wonderful emotional and inspiring show about the struggles people with learning disabilities face as they look for love) and we’ve seen his cheerful self around town, too. Who are we talking about? The brilliant Daniel Wakeford, who’s gained quite a following after his appearance on the show and thanks to his contribution to the city’s learning-disabled music scene.

We saw a snapshot of his cheerful tunes on the show, but this is nothing new for him – he’s been writing music for over nine years. And this weekend, we’ve got the chance to see this local treasure live as he ends his two-month UK tour in his – and our – home town. He’ll be playing songs from his latest album, That’s How I See It, at his gig this Saturday at The Haunt, but if you want an advance taster – and to put a smile on your face this Monday – then check out his single ‘Wonderful City’ below, which celebrates Brighton in all its glory.

Look out for our interview with the man himself, coming soon!
