get tickets to a free screening on american music

What are you doing this Wednesday evening? No plans? Then how about diving headfirst into a joy-filled film that explores America’s vast musical heritage? Did we mention it’s free?

Yep, you can get tickets to a free 45-minute screening of America’s Musical Journey, a film narrated by Morgan Freeman which takes viewers on a cross-country musical adventure through the American cities that gave birth to the likes of jazz, blues, hip-hop and rock n’ roll. The film’s designed to promote the country to visitors, but whether you’ve got transatlantic plans or not, we reckon this is a pretty great way to turn the mid-week blues on their head…

And, as Louis Armstrong said: “What would this world be without good music?” BOTI would go even further to add that free popcorn and wine make good music even better (yes, that means there’s free popcorn and wine).

Wednesday 20th February, reception at 6.15pm and screening at 7.00pm; free (but online reservation is essential)
Odeon Cinema, Kingswest, West Street, Brighton, BN1 2RE
