pick of the week: play detective in real-life cluedo

Three people have been murdered. But was it Professor Plum in the dining room with the spanner? Nope, it was the Beast of Birkness and it’s only a matter of time before the killer strikes again in this fun game of real-life Cluedo that takes you back to the 1950s. The fate of the residents of Birkness, a sleepy village just outside Brighton, lies in the hands of a sleuth team of detectives. Yup, that’s you and your friends. Reassuring, right?

The virtual detective adventure plays out via an event app which you download to your smartphone and will take you all over the city as you decipher clues to crack the case. You’ll be provided with all the evidence you need and you’ll also have the help of convicted serial killer Peter Manuel. Careful, though – he’s in it for himself, if he assists you, he escapes the death penalty. But can you trust him?

So gather up to five of your most clever friends, don your detective hats for the day and stop the killer in their tracks to save the world (ok, a small fictional village). Preventing brutal murders not enough for you? There’s the added motivation of prizes for the fastest team, best fancy dress, best team name and best team picture. Ready, set, sleuth!

Saturday 10th November, start times between 10.00am to 1.00pm; £30 for a team of between 2 and 6 players
The secret starting location is revealed in the week before the event
