pick of the week: it’s the bunny ball

Bunnies and Easter go together like, um, lots of really good things, so what’s better than a rabbit-themed ball, right? Well, that’s exactly what’s going on at city centre venue Patterns this Easter. Yes, this Sunday 21st April is the fabulous Felix Le Freak‘s Le Freak Show: The Bunny Ball.

If you’re thinking cute fluffy rabbits, think again. Think bolder, queerer and so much more fun. For starters, there’s the drag and queer cabaret smackdown where you can watch 10 fantastic drag stars and queer cabaret performers strut their stuff in a bid to snag the top prize of £500. Oh, and if you’re interested in performing, email lefreakshowbrighton@gmail.com to find out if you’re still in with a chance.

Performer or not, there are plenty of chances to get your (buck) teeth stuck in, from a carrot-eating contest to the audience costume competition for ‘best bunny’. Yeah, we’re thinking those bunny headband ears at the back of the wardrobe aren’t quite going to cut it.

With Brighton’s best queer DJs, games and dancing until the wee hours of Monday morning, we reckon it’s well worth hopping to it to snap up some tickets.

Sunday 21st April, from 7.00pm; tickets from £7
