pick of the week: brighton illustration fair

If you haven’t got yourself a ticket for the Brighton Illustration Fair, then get in there quickly, because it’s back this weekend and you won’t want to miss it. Started by the guys behind the much loved Family Store on Kensington Gardens, BIF returns for its fourth year and will feature over 100 selected artists.

Championing the exciting and creative world of illustration, it’s happening over two days this weekend and, not only can you expect an absolute feast for your eyes, but you’ll also be able to attend talks, screenings and workshops while you’re there. Not bad when you can get a ticket for the whole weekend for just £7!

We’re chuffed that this year’s selected Brighton guest artist is Ryan Gillett, as his bright and funny drawing style is a real winner in our BOTI eyes. You may be familiar with his work as he’s done a lot with fun brands including Nike, Virgin and Culture Trip (as well as the artwork for this year’s BIF!) but, more recently, he’s been exploring the world of animation. You may also have seen his new capsule collection which is now available at the Tidy Print store – as if you needed any other reasons to pop into that amazing place.

International guests include American artist Clay Hickson, who will be bringing his psychedelic style to the city and Atelier Bingo, a French duo who will definitely brighten up the Sallis Benney space. Get your tickets now so you don’t miss out at the weekend…
