Here’s some Fabuloso news – Brighton Pride have a released the line-up for this summer’s two-day fundraising festival and it’s a good’un.
Girls Aloud are topping the bill on the Saturday and Mika is headlining the main stage on the Sunday. And the rest of the line-up is pretty stellar, too, including Sophie Ellis Bextor (riding high on her renewed post-Saltburn fame wave), zippy pop faves S Club, LGBTQ+ icon Billy Porter, 90s treasure Gabrielle and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Danny Beard.
And that’s just the main stage. Over 150 LGBTQ+ artists will be performing, including Peaches, Beth McCarthy and Horse Meat Disco – more acts will be announced over the next few months.
As ever, there will be other diverse stages and entertainment zones across the park, including the Pride Dance Tent, Beefmince Dance Tent, Cabaret Big Top, Diva Dance Tent, Polyglamorous, the Cocoa Butter Club Stage, Queertown, and more.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome a fantastic and diverse line-up to Brighton & Hove Pride for 2024 and, with Love, Protest, Unity and JOY at the core of our community parade, we invite everyone to celebrate your true colours,” said managing director Paul Kemp.
As ever, proceeds from the tickets cover the running costs of the official Pride events (the festival, the parade and the village party) and contribute to vital LGBTQ+ community fundraising for the Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund, as well as other important Pride community grant programmes.
