patterns donates portion of ticket sales to support local homelessness charity

It’s always good to get some positive news in these Brexit-battered times, so it’s lovely to hear that iconic local bar and gig venue Patterns has teamed up with ticketing platform Dice to donate money from their ticket sales to Brighton-based charity The Clock Tower Sanctuary, which supports homeless young people.

For the next year, Patterns will give 20p from each and every ticket sold through the Dice site to the charity. So get buying! With lots of great gigs coming up at the venue (think DJs or:la and Nicolas Lutz for starters), you can have fun AND do good all at once if you buy your tickets via Dice.

The money raised will help to provide practical advice, support and safe spaces for some of the South Coast’s most vulnerable, as well as raising awareness of the vital work the charity does in providing care for homeless people between 16 and 25 in Brighton and Hove.

You may not be aware of its work, but the Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only day centre in Brighton and Hove for 16-25-year olds who are homeless or insecurely housed. They offer vital practical and emotional support to help vulnerable young people move from crisis to independence, providing an all-important safe space for those who need it most. It’s a shocking stat, but in Brighton and Hove, a quarter of all homeless applications are filed by young people in this category.

It’s easy to get involved with the charity directly, too, either by volunteering or by making a donation here.
