book now: glitter nips

It’s time to get your (eco) Glitter Nips out as Free the Nipple Brighton returns on Saturday 22nd June. June really is the month for baring it all in the city, with the Naked Bike Ride kicking things off spectacularly on Sunday 9th June. If you’re not familiar with Free the Nipple, then listen up, because it’s an empowering march that you may just want to get involved in.

Back for the fourth year running, the march founders hope to encourage women, men, gender non-binary and trans people of the city to march together on Brighton seafront, freeing their nips and their inhibitions. They aim to highlight the sexist double standards that exist in everyday lives, challenging the perceptions of bodies, breasts, nipples and gender. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Anyone can get involved and you’re encouraged to wear eco glitter aka #nipglit [we just named it that].

So, you fancy being part of the biggest Free the Nipple collective in the UK, do you? Head to Old Steine Gardens at 2.00pm where you can get body painted right up and create any last-minute signs before the walk kicks off at 3.00pm following an accessible route at a nice slow pace for everyone. Finish up with a party picnic when you reach the West Pier – don’t forget to bring drinks, blankets and food. You can read our previous interview

If that isn’t enough nipple action for you for one day, then head over to the North Laine Brewhouse for the after-party from 9.00pm. It’s your chance to get arty and party, celebrating all things boobs. Early-bird tickets are on sale now and only £3 each, with money raised on the night going towards fighting cancer. It’s win-win.

Not only is there a fab selection of beers to work your way through (including a special raspberry ripple flavour that donates towards the charity!), but the Free the Nipple gang will be bringing art installations, performances and workshops to create the ultimate immersive art party. There will be eco glitter by the tonne and DJs taking over the decks and playing out some of your favourite tracks through the new sound system at the North Laine in a bid to fill the new dance floor, too.

If you’ve got something boobilicious work you’d like to bring to the party, you’ve got until 2nd June to get your submissions in here.
